SOCEPP: On Tuesday, June 21. the security services of the ruling EPRDF apprehended teacher Riyot Alemu from her work place at the Kechenie Medhanie Alem secondary school in Addis Abeba. Riyot also worked as a columnist for the weekly Fitih (Justice) paper and was also an editor with the Awramba Times many of whose editors and journalists have been detained and harassed at tone time or another.
